Nursing Leadership and Administration, M.S.
[Nursing Leadership and Administration—1203.1]
The Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Administration degree program is designed for working RNs who hold a bachelor's degree and are in or are seeking leadership positions in the healthcare system. Based on nursing science, the program will develop and hone the nurse's knowledge of administration, management, and healthcare finance. The online coursework, graduate project, and internship will prepare the graduate to be a visionary leader within an interprofessional team to improve the healthcare system.
Admission Criteria:
- B.S. Degree with a nursing major from an accredited program or the equivalent (or completion of our RN-BS Program). Individuals with a Bachelor's degree in another discipline may be eligible for the RN to MS program.
- Unencumbered licensure as a professional registered nurse within New York State or the US territories or Canada.*
- Equivalent of one year of full-time employment as a professional registered nurse
- Current employment as a Registered Nurse
- Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00
- Successful completion (B minus or higher) of a course in statistics
- Demonstrated proficiency in written communication
- Review and sign the technical standards
*International student applications evaluated on an individual basis
Transfer Credits from accredited graduate nursing programs may be considered.

Minimum Total Hours: 39
Minimum Requirements: Cumulative GPA of 3.0; no grade less than B-.
