MSW Combo Programs
[MSW Combo Programs - 2301.00]
Students at Northeastern Seminary have the opportunity to combine a Seminary degree with a Master of Social Work degree from Roberts Wesleyan University. Since courses are transferred between programs, a considerable savings of time and money is realized. While students typically complete one program in its entirety before beginning the second program, it is important for students to declare their intentions regarding the combo programs at the onset of the first program in order to take advantage of the maximum amount of transfer credit. The Northeastern Seminary degree is not conferred until the student has completed both programs, and this must occur within a 10-year time frame. Application and acceptance to both programs are required. Students who have already completed the MSW from Roberts Wesleyan University within the last five years will be considered for enrollment in a Northeastern Seminary combo program. Contact the academic office for more details regarding the following degree combinations:
- M.S.W. & M.A. in Theological Studies (32 NES credits)
- M.S.W. & M.A. in Theology and Social Justice (32 NES credits)
- M.S.W. & Master of Divinity (53 NES credits)
- M.S.W. & Master of Divinity with focused elective competency in Theology and Social Justice (62 NES credits)
All requirements for the M.S.W. degree at Roberts Wesleyan University must be completed before the degree from Northeastern Seminary will be awarded. Please consult with the Roberts Wesleyan University Graduate Social Work Division for the M.S.W. degree requirements.
