The Master of Science in Nursing Education degree program is designed for working RNs who hold a bachelor's degree in nursing and want to be an important part of nursing's future by becoming a nurse educator. The program, based on nursing science, focuses on advancing clinical and evidence-based teaching skills and prepares students to teach in college, university, and clinical settings. Students develop expertise through a teaching practicum. Students gain essential experience with the latest technological advances in education. Working RNs can complete this degree in just 18 months. This is an online program with 91 hours of teaching practice experience.
Admissions Criteria:
- B.S. Degree with a nursing major from an accredited program or the equivalent (or completion of our RN-BS). Individuals with a Bachelor's degree in another discipline may be eligible for the RN to MS program.
- Unencumbered licensure as a professional registered nurse within the US territories or Canada*.
- The equivalent of one year of full-time employment as a professional registered nurse and a current position in nursing
- Accumulated grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00
- Successful completion (B minus or higher) of a course in statistics
- Demonstrated proficiency in written communication
- Review and sign the technical standards
*International student applications evaluated on an individual basis
Transfer Credit from accredited nursing graduate programs may be considered.

Minimum Requirements: Cumulative GPA of 3.0; no grade less than B-.
