Jamarr Myers’06, ‘08 (Business Administration, M.S. Strategic Leadership) is the Vice President of Operations at the Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship, who is making a difference in his community through Black Men Achieve, a mentorship organization he founded a decade ago. The program supports youth ages 8 to 21, teaching them practical skills like job interviewing, obtaining driver's licenses, and becoming their own advocates.
"Taking them out of their zip code – allowing them to see that the world is so much bigger – that's key," Jamarr explains. "When you help them expand their worldview and let them know there is something bigger and better out there, it changes everything."
