Alumni Spotlight: London Booker '16
London Booker, Roberts Wesleyan University alum of 2016 (Childhood and Special Education), was recently featured on WHEV-TV’s Rochester’s Roots.
In the segment, he shared his love for lacrosse, how it began, who motivated him along the way and how this sport made a positive impact on his life. In his early days, he played lacrosse at Gates-Chili High School for three years, and played another four years during his time at Roberts Wesleyan University. And it continues to be a major part of his life.
Today London is a mentor for children in Rochester, as a coach, an educator and as Athletic Director of the Rochester City School District, a role he has held since 2023.
“The most important goal for me is to create an avenue where athletics allow students similar to myself – and from my similar experiences – to use it as a vehicle to change their life,” he shares during his interview.
