Faith is the foundation of how I teach. I strive to model integrity, compassion, and perseverance — not just in the classroom, but in life. I see each student as an individual, and I’m passionate about helping them discover their purpose.
Profile
After more than 30 years teaching and coaching in the Churchville-Chili Central School District, Peter Tabone joined Roberts Wesleyan University to continue what he loves most: helping students grow in both skill and character. Drawn to Roberts’ commitment to integrating faith and learning, he sees every class as a chance to mentor the whole student in mind, body, and spirit. He's passionate about helping students discover their purpose.
Peter’s career has included coaching football, wrestling, and indoor and outdoor track and field. His passion for physical education began early, when sports became both his outlet and his teacher. Guided by Proverbs 27:17 - “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another” - he works to inspire integrity, perseverance, and purpose in every student.
His advice to students who want to pursue a career in his field: "Stay curious, stay humble, and stay active, both physically and professionally. Build relationships, seek mentorship, and remember that your impact often goes far beyond the gymnasium or athletic field."
A longtime Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees fan, Peter spends his free time with his wife (Pam), their three daughters (Maggie, Abbie, and Emily) and their yellow labs.
