Lori Sousa-Meixell is a social work educator and practitioner whose work centers on macro practice, faith-based engagement, and global community development. She brings a distinct passion for cultural diversity, social justice, and human rights to her teaching, drawing from her deep expertise in program planning, international social work, and social policy. Her academic and professional interests are particularly shaped by the political and cultural complexities of the Middle East and how spirituality intersects with social policy.

Lori actively engages in leadership and advocacy through roles with Christians United for Israel, HOPE Initiatives CDC, and the Rochester Area Interfaith Hospitality Network. She is also a member of the North American Association for Christians in Social Work. Whether mentoring first-time marathoners, photographing community life, or encouraging students to take political action, Lori inspires others to seek justice and live with purpose.
