Katie Heath serves as the Program Director for the Pathway to Teaching program at Roberts Wesleyan University, where she supports adult learners in their journey to become certified teachers.
Before joining Roberts, Katie taught for five years at Hammondsport Central School, gaining hands-on experience in K–12 classrooms. She completed her doctoral work at Syracuse University, where her research focused on using iPads to support communication in students with low-incidence disabilities. Her work has been shared at national conferences, contributing to the growing conversation around accessible, tech-enabled learning.
Now based in the Rochester area, Katie is passionate about preparing future educators to meet the needs of all learners. She brings a thoughtful, research-driven approach to her work, equipping students with both the practical skills and compassionate mindset required to thrive in today’s diverse classrooms.
