Dr. E-Na Song is a multifaceted musician. She performs regularly as a soloist and collaborative pianist, but also enjoys teaching as an educator and supervising as an administrator in music organizations.
An active performer, Dr. Song loves presenting a variety of music and styles to audiences. Her recent performances include a solo program “World Serenade: An Evening of Musical Voyage” on Spotlight Concert of Hochstein and “Celebration of Dance: Beethoven, Kodály, Liszt, and Albright” on the Live from Hochstein Concert Series. She also gave a collaborative recital with her violinist colleague on “Timeless Melodies: Brahms, Kreisler, Beach, Schoenfeld” broadcast on WXXI Classical 91.5 FM.
Dr. Song is on the piano faculty at Rochester Institute of Technology, Roberts Wesleyan University, and the Hochstein School. In addition, she serves as a collaborative pianist at Nazareth University, SUNY Geneseo, and the Eastman Community Music School. As an administrator, she is the Associate Director of the Rebecca Penneys Piano Festival, the Co-Chair of the Piano Department of the Hochstein School, and the Co-Director of Adult Chamber Music Connection at the Hochstein School of Music.
Dr. Song earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Seoul National University, the most prestigious university in South Korea, under Professor HyungBae Kim. She completed her Master’s and Doctorate of Music in Piano Performance and Literature at the Eastman School of Music under the tutelage of Professor Rebecca Penneys.
