Adjunct Professor for Criminal Justice Administration; Recruiter
Profile
Marvin Stepherson serves as an Adjunct Faculty member in the accelerated Criminal Justice Administration program at Roberts Wesleyan University, where he brings decades of real-world experience to the classroom. A proud Roberts graduate himself, Marvin exemplifies lifelong learning, having started his academic path at a community college in his twenties and completing his graduate degree in his late forties. His teaching is rooted in both his law enforcement background and his commitment to community impact. A retired police sergeant with 25 years of service and a dual-service veteran of the U.S. Marines and Coast Guard Reserve, Marvin continues to educate and serve adult learners while contributing to public discourse as a regular consultant on NPR, where he speaks on law enforcement and cultural issues.
Outside the classroom, Marvin is the founding president of The Rochester Association of Minority Police and a former Urban League Youth Mentor. He lives in Upstate New York with his wife, three children, and their Italian Mastiff.
