Marianne Blanda

Profile

Dr. Marianne Blanda brings decades of deep-rooted experience in special education, leadership, and inclusive teaching to Roberts Wesleyan University, where she has served as an associate professor in the Department of Teacher Education since 2006. Her teaching portfolio spans both undergraduate and graduate programs and includes core education courses as well as specialized instruction in classroom behavior, inclusive methods, and collaboration for individualized education planning. Prior to academia, she held a variety of impactful roles in K–12 settings—from special educator to assistant principal—across districts like Rochester City, Penfield, and Webster.

Dr. Blanda holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction from Union Institute and University, an Ed.M. from SUNY Brockport, and a B.S. from Nazareth College.
