Profile

Dr. Kristin Helms brings deep biblical scholarship and ministry experience to her role as a professor at Roberts Wesleyan University. She holds a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Princeton Theological Seminary, with a focus on the Old Testament. Her research centers on the prophets, the post-exilic period, and the practical applications of Scripture in ministry contexts. Dr. Helms currently serves as a Section Leader for the updated edition of the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV), overseeing the readability review of 2 Kings, 1 & 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther. She has previously taught at Princeton Theological Seminary, Missio Seminary, and the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary at both the master's and doctoral levels.

In addition to her academic work, Dr. Helms has ministered in urban outreach and developed Christian education programs for local churches.
