Justin Pretko serves as the Assistant Director of Recruiting and Admissions for Teacher Education Programs at Roberts Wesleyan University, where he helps guide aspiring educators through the admissions process and into meaningful careers in teaching. With over two decades of professional experience—including roles in admissions, academic advising, and secondary education—Justin brings both insight and empathy to his work. He previously taught 11th-grade social studies at UPrep Rochester and served in student-focused roles at Gates Chili Central School District and Lifetime Assistance, Inc., always prioritizing support, access, and student development.

A proud two-time graduate of Roberts Wesleyan, Justin holds a B.A. in History and an M.A. in Secondary Education. His approach to recruitment is grounded in listening, encouragement, and a belief that every great educator starts with someone who believes in them. Whether mentoring students or connecting them to life-changing opportunities, Justin remains passionate about the power of education to shape individuals and communities.
