Julia Wolfe

Profile

Julia J. Wolfe is a multidisciplinary artist and educator whose work explores whimsy, place, and material culture through a lens of everyday wonder. Her practice spans installation, painting, book arts, printmaking, and participatory projects. Wolfe’s work has been exhibited nationally in solo and group exhibitions, including the Every Woman Biennial in New York City, LABspace Gallery, and La MaMa Galleria. She frequently collaborates with community spaces and institutions, creating public art and immersive installations.

Before joining Roberts Wesleyan University, Wolfe taught at the University of Iowa and led courses at Flower City Arts Center, where she also served as the Printmaking & Book Arts Artist-in-Residence. She brings to Roberts deep experience in hands-on making, contemporary critique, and integrative studio practices that help students develop both skill and voice.

Wolfe’s work is held in public and private collections, including Monroe Community College and Rhodes College. Her artistic contributions have been supported through multiple fellowships and residencies, including the Vermont Studio Center and Public Space One.
