All truth is God’s truth.

Arthur F. Holmes

Profile

Dr. Jeffrey McPherson joined the faculty at Roberts Wesleyan University in 2011 and has served as Chair of the Department of Religion and Philosophy since 2015. He earned his Ph.D. from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, where his dissertation offered a theological and philosophical study of the worldviews of Jonathan Edwards and Alfred North Whitehead. Dr. McPherson’s academic work reflects a deep commitment to exploring the intersection of historic Christian thought and contemporary philosophical inquiry.

His current research interests include Christology, the doctrine of atonement, the theological implications of dementia, just war theory and pacifism, and the relationship between Platonism and Christianity. His teaching and scholarship invite students to wrestle thoughtfully with enduring questions about faith, ethics, and the human condition.

Theology is faith seeking understanding.
