Profile
Cathy retired from the United States Probation Office in Rochester, NY, in December 2020 after 27 years of service. She served as the Program Development Specialist, overseeing reentry services, community partnerships, and evidence-based programming, and previously worked as the Drug and Alcohol Specialist. Cathy developed and facilitated the Reentry Court Program for eight years. She holds certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (NCTI), Motivational Interviewing, Moral Reconation Therapy, Group/Crisis Intervention, Interactive Journaling, and Trauma-Informed Responses in Criminal Justice (SAMHSA). Cathy is also certified as an Offender Workforce Development Specialist (OWDS) and has developed and taught the Ready Set Work Program in WNY.
She earned a Master of Education in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Drug and Alcohol Counseling from Springfield College. Cathy is a consultant to community agencies on addressing reentry barriers and was awarded the Clair Gsell Excellence in Corrections Award in 2016. She is a board member of the Reentry Association of WNY and a member of the Women’s Initiative Supportive Health (WISH) project. Cathy enjoys skiing, tennis, gardening, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
