Profile

Dr. Andrew Koehl has been a member of the Roberts Wesleyan University faculty since 1999.

His academic specialties include epistemology, ethics, the history of philosophy, and the philosophy of religion.

His current research explores "implicitly grounded beliefs" as potential cases of knowledge, as well as the philosophical implications of religious diversity.

Koehl made me interested in philosophy something I never thought about before. I feel like a different person now that I have taken this class. I know what I believe and why, and I can give arguments for my positions.

I never had any interest in philosophy or ethics before taking this course, but I always looked forward to going to his class. He is a great teacher - funny, good discussion leader, insightful. I developed an approach to ethics that will stay with me a lifetime.
