Profile
Dr. Adam Huck spent thirteen years as a classroom teacher in the Rush-Henrietta Central School District, where he taught grades 3, 4, and 6.
Prior to coming to Roberts Wesleyan University , Dr. Huck was a Lecturer at SUNY Buffalo State and taught an introduction to education course as well as methods courses in literacy and social studies. While pursuing his doctorate at the University at Buffalo, Dr. Huck was an adjunct instructor and taught social studies methods at the graduate level.
At Roberts, he is known for his thoughtful course design, student-centered instruction, and dedication to mentoring. His research focuses on elementary social studies, with particular attention to civic education and the role of teacher candidates in open learning environments. His work has been published in Social Studies Research & Practice and Excelsior: Leadership in Teaching and Learning.
When not in the classroom, he enjoys following the Los Angeles Rams and reading about American history. He finds personal encouragement in Philippians 4:6, a reminder to approach all things with prayer, gratitude, and trust in God.
