Homeschooler performing in Roberts Symphony Orchestra

RWU Music is thrilled to offer Rochester-area homeschoolers the opportunity to participate in some of our ten ensembles and over sixty concerts and recitals a year.

If your application is approved, you will be invited to audition. Your audition will consist of one piece of your choosing, that showcases your skills, played for the ensemble director. Ensemble directors may choose to instead invite you to take part in a rehearsal as your audition.

Note: Ensembles are free to join. College credit for participation is not offered at this time.

A soprano and alto choir performing both sacred and popular music.

A 50 person band of woodwinds, brass, and percussion performing repertoire from Sousa to Bernstein.

OPENINGS: Flutes, clarinets, bassoons, saxophones, french horns, trombones

An 80 person full orchestra performing concerts ranging from The Music of John Williams to Mahler's Symphony No. 2 "Resurrection." This year's season will conclude with Beethoven's monumental Symphony No. 9, featuring the Roberts Chorale and Pearce Community Choir.

A fifty-person vocal ensemble dedicated to the study and performance of outstanding choral music that spans a rich variety of styles, historical periods, languages, and cultures.
