Roberts Graduates Pursuing NHA Licensure
Students enrolled at Roberts in the Health Administration, M.S. (MHA) program will complete three of the five courses required by NYS:
- GHLH 5800/MHA 580 Health Care Financial Management (4cr/7 wks)
- GHLH 6000/MHA 600 Health Policy, Ethics and Law (4cr/7 wks)
- GHLH 5900 Leadership Coaching and Human Resources (4cr/7weeks)
OR GHLH 6100/MHA 610 Human Resources for Health Care Professionals (4 cr/7 wks)
If you have already completed the MHA program, you only have two more courses to complete:
- NHAD 4200 Nursing Home Administration (4 cr/8 wks)
- SOCS 3100 Gerontology (3 cr/8 wks)
Students enrolled at Roberts in the Public Health M.S. (MSPH) program will complete two of the five courses required by NYS:
- GHLH 6000/MHA 600 Health Policy, Ethics and Law (4cr/7 wks)
- GPHT 5450 Health Care Organizations and Financial Management (4cr/7wks)
If you have already completed the MSPH program, you only have three more courses to complete:
- NHAD 4200 Nursing Home Administration (4 cr/8 wks)
- SOCS 3100 Gerontology (3 cr/8 wks)
- NHAD 4100 Human Resources in Health Care (4cr/8wks)
The following Roberts graduate courses also satisfy NYS requirements for NHA licensure:
- MHI 575 - Health IT, Policy, Regulation and Law (3crs) - no longer offered at Roberts
- NSG 600 - Health Care Policy, Ethics, and Law (3crs) - available online or onsite (Graduate Nursing)
